Average speed cams ‘cut KSIs’

The number of people killed or seriously injured in road accidents at sites covered by average speed cameras has dropped by an average of 73%, according to analysis of police casualty data by the equipment’s manufacturer. Vysionics ITS, formerly Speed Check Services, has analysed the casualty data from 15 sites where its SPECS equipment are deployed. It says the range of KSI reductions is 49%-100% with an overall average reduction of 73%.
