Bus review to spell end for £100 per passenger subsidy

A Scottish Council looks set to scrap a tendered bus service that receives almost £100 subsidy per passenger carried.

East Lothian Council said the service was likely to be cut as part of a plan to reduce the tendered services budget by a third. The council will issue an invitation in the next few weeks to operators to price a range of network options for implementation in the New Year.
