Teleporting test poses time savings puzzle

Researchers have found that many people value their commuting time between home and work, a finding that appears to conflict with how time savings are treated in transport appraisal.

Glenn Lyons, professor of transport and society at the University of West of England, said people’s desire to spend some time commuting had been revealed by the so-called ‘teleportation test’.
