Westminster in a stew over parking contract award

Westminster City Council was forced to halt the award of its parking enforcement contract to preferred bidder NSL Services this week after rival bidder Mouchel launched a last minute legal challenge.

The council had agreed a £37.3m contract with NSL to provide the service over the next four years. This represents a saving of over £10m over four years compared with the existing contract that Westminster has with NSL.
