Tees Valley bus improvements, Darlington/Middlebrough/Stockton-on-Tees/Redcar and Cleveland/Hartlepool

The DfT has confirmed £40m of funding towards, and given programme entry status to, bus improvements in the Tees Valley. A further £11.2m will come from the five local authorities that are part of the Tees Valley Joint Strategy Unit (Darlington, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Redcar and Cleveland, and Hartlepool) with the final £10.8m coming from developer contributions.
