Hoon ‘open-minded’ on youth free bus fares

Transport secretary Geoff Hoon has said he is open minded on the idea of introducing concessionary travel for young people.

“I do not have a closed mind to this,” he told the House of Commons transport committee. “It is something I am certainly prepared to discuss, not least if the Treasury is prepared to fund it.”
