Arup to upgrade Glasgow Tube

Arup has won a design contract from Strathclyde Partnership for Transport for works to modernise the Glasgow subway system. Arup’s bid of £214,314 was significantly cheaper than rival bids from Mott Macdonald (£295,100) and Halcrow (£387,620). Arup also scored more points on the quality scoring test that forms part of SPT’s award criteria. The three consultants are on SPT’s design and technical services framework....
