Transport, Traffic and Parking Services Business Manager

These are busy and changing times in Sheffield’s transport world as the city’s Highways Maintenance PFI contract, the largest in the country, gets under way.
We need a Business Manager to step in to our restructured traffic and transport team to help meet the challenges of the PFI and the Council’s Vision for Excellent Transport in Sheffield -- reflecting the aspirations of residents in England’s fourth largest city.
Our Transport and Traffic teams design and deliver a programme of key schemes to drive forward the city’s regeneration. Parking Services is rolling out a major programme of resident parking permit schemes and mobile enforcement of traffic offences.
A recent successful Better Buses bid, new moves towards an integrated bus network plus our Local Sustainable Transport Fund initiatives provide grounds for optimism about what can be achieved.
Our Business Manager will:
- Monitor and manage the Transport, Traffic and Parking Services Division’s revenue and capital budgets
- Assist the Head of Service in directing the Council’s Parking Service
- Lead our response to Corporate initiatives and service wide process reviews and help deliver a customer focussed service
- Manage the Council’s Public Rights of Way and Land Drainage and Flood Risk Management Groups
