APCOA backs Wanstead playground charity appeal

A parking fine turned out to be a blessing in disguise for a charity raising money to renovate a children’s play area. Secretary of the Wanstead Playground Association Nicola Calabrese received the ticket in the London Borough of Redbridge earlier this year. Calabrese did not challenge the ticket but instead wrote to the council’s parking contractor APCOA Parking UK asking if it would like to support her efforts to improve the play area off Wanstead High Street.
