Barrister De Waal to represent Beavis in Supreme Court appeal

John de Waal, the barrister who drafted an opinion on parking on private land for the RAC Foundation, will represent motorist Barry Beavis at the Supreme Court in his appeal against ParkingEye.

In April Beavis, a fish and chip shop owner from Chelmsford, lost a case at the Court of Appeal in which he sought to prove that parking charge notices (PCNs) issued by ParkingEye for overstaying were an unfair penalty.
