Makers Construction’s apprentice scheme were a winner at the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Committed to Excellence in the East Midlands Awards, which were held at the Belfry in Nottingham last month.

The refurbishment specialist is funding a five-year programme that mixes on-the-job learning, higher education at Walsall College and personal mentoring.
