‘Door-to-door’ transport schemes that promote walking to school, car clubs and electric bike hire have been awarded £3.9m by the Department for Transport (DfT). 

Charity Living Streets will get £1m to continue its campaign to increase the number of 5 to 10-year-olds who walk to school.
