Almost 4,000 free parking spaces in Milton Keynes became pay & display bays on 31 January. This means that there is very little free parking left in the town centre. Milton Keynes Council estimates that introducing tariffs for the 3,872 spaces will generate an extra £2.28m in parking income a year. This will boost the income generated for pay & display and scratchcards to about £10.5m.
