Big shake-up at UK Department for Transport ministerial team as airports enquiry set up

Patrick McLoughlin  has been appointed the new Secretary of State for Transport in the UK prime minister’s cabinet reshuffle replacing Justine Greening. His appointment has been accompanied by speculation that it presages a change in policy on expanding Heathrow airport to which Greening was opposed

Former chief whip McLoughlin is the third transport secretary since the formation of the coalition government two years ago.
