Norfolk County Council has asked the DfT to fund half a £30m shortfall that has emerged in the cost of the Norwich Northern Distributor Road (NDR).
Transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin approved the Development Consent Order for the 12.5-mile dual carriageway road in June (LTT12 Jun). The road will connect the A1067 Fakenham Road in the north-west of the city with the A47 trunk road in the east at Postwick.
