As usual, the Alliance of British Drivers and its supporters are getting it wrong when they react to our suggestion that the portfolio holder for transport in York (Councillor Ian Gillies) could be acting illegally if his council raised speed limits to 30mph on some of their 20mph roads (Letters LTT 24 Jul).
