Cost pressures may prompt cuts to NR’s rail enhancement plans

Network rail may have to cut back or delay major enhancements because the current programme is unaffordable. 

The DfT and NR are conducting a joint review into the costs and affordability of enhancement projects in Network Rail’s current control period, CP5 (2014/15-2018/19).
