Regulator delays decision on East Coast proposals
The Office of Rail Regulation has delayed its decision on whether to approve National Express East Coast’s expansion plan or proposals for new services from rival open access operators Hull Trains, Grand Central/Northern and Platinum trains.
The regulator had been due to rule on the competing applications for paths on the East Coast Main Line in October, but the decision has now been delayed until the end of January.
