New offer suspends East London bus strike

A strike planned by staff at Stagecoach’s former London bus operations was suspended last week after the firm, owned by Australian investment bank Macquarie, tabled a new offer. The union said that this would now be put to the 2,200 staff employed by East London Bus Group, but further action planned by staff at seven garages for next month remained planned subject to the result of the vote....
