Groups complete acquisitions abroad
First has completed the protracted acquisition of North American transport group Laidlaw this week. The £1.6 billion deal gives Aberdeen-based First a 13% share in the lucrative yellow school bus market in the United States, with a fleet of more than 62,000 vehicles.
