Parking fines in NI to increase by 50%
Parking fines in Northern Ireland are set to rise by 50% from £60 to £90 to combat a rise in illegal parking in the province, said Danny Kennedy, the province’s regional development minister.
Also, parking charges will be introduced at a number of car parks, which are currently free, in 16 towns and cities across Northern Ireland. Both changes come into effect in June.
