Birmingham drives out illegal school parking
Parents parking illegally outside schools in Birmingham are being targetted by mobile patrols operated by the city council. The authority said that the vehicle, fitted with an ANPR system, has proved far more effective than on-foot patrols at combatting school parking contraventions.

But is it solving the problem or moving it round the corner, actually worsening safety as pupils end up walking less safe routes? Shouldn't a more holistic view be taken?
