Strike ballot called over passing on workplace levy
The Unite and GMB trade union have launched an industrial action ballot at the Imperial Tobacco factory in protest at the company’s decision to pass on a proportion of Nottingham’s new workplace parking levy to staff.
Unite’s regional officer, Luke Primarolo, said the ballot asked members’ views on strike action or an action short of a strike such as a work to rule or overtime ban. The result of the ballot would be announced on 16 April....
