Green light for two major P&R schemes in Cornwall

Plans for two park & ride schemes in Cornwall have been approved by the county council. Its strategic planning committee voted in favour of a new 1,350-space Eastern park & ride scheme serving Truro and a 700-space park & ride serving St Erth, near Penzance.
Committee members voted by 11 to eight to approve the application for the £40m Truro scheme, which will include a Cornish food centre, energy centre and 97 homes as part of the scheme.
