Legal review demands licensing of rickshaws

Bicycle Rickshaws could be licensed under proposals to improve safety on roads. Clearer rules on the licensing of taxis and minicabs would also be introduced under proposals from the Law Commission for England and Wales, which reviews and recommends reforms of the law. The commission indicates that rickshaws (also known as pedicabs) along with motorcycle taxis and limousines could be subjected to the same safety and driver training requirements as black cabs.
