Car hire for Lake District visitors
An operator is being sought to run a pay-as-you-go car hire network in the Lake District.
The scheme would be targeted at visitors to the national park, with vehicles located at visitor accommodation and transport interchanges.
The two-year operating contract would start in June this year. The project is part of the Lake District sustainable visitor travel programme, a £6.9m initiative to reduce car dependency.
