P&D to ease parking ‘strain’ in seaside town
Pay & display machines will be introduced to parts of the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare as parking around the town centre is “under strain’, according to a report to North Somerset Council.
The Conservative-run authority has approved plans to charge £1.20 an hour on some residential roads, with a two-hour maximum stay. The proposed charges would be introduced in September.
The move would also see charges for off-street parking reduced to £1 an hour for the first three hours...
