Leeds approves ‘unauthorised’ car parks
Thousands of previously unauthorised parking spaces in Leeds city centre are set to be officially recognised after the council recommended approval for 11 car park planning applications.
This follows a review of the city's car parking policies in 2011 when plans to close seven such car parks operating without planning permission were reversed (PR Sep 2011). The measure was passed at a council meeting on 15 March reversing the policy of closing unofficial car parks without planning permission....
