Increased parking charges at rail stations provokes commuter concern

Parking charges across hundreds of rail station car parks throughout England have seen rises of more than double the rate of inflation. Train operators have been accused by motoring groups and commuters of making excessive profits by increasing the cost of parking.
Commuters and motoring groups say that such rises are excessive and bigger than increases in train fares, which averaged 6.2% across the network.
Many of the biggest increases in charges have been at stations in the Home Counties....
