Tories set to block workplace levy
The Conservative Party has voiced its opposition to the proposed workplace parking levy (WPL) in Nottingham. Shadow transport secretary Theresa Villiers said that if her party won the general election it would “look again” at the tax.
The WPL scheme is due to start without charge in October 2011 — at which point all city firms will have to apply for a licence.
