Worthing pursues serial evaders
More than £1,500 in unpaid parking fines has been recovered from a persistent evader targeted under Worthing Borough Council’s new ‘firm and fair’ policy. The used car salesman — who has not been named by the council — was being pursued for 16 outstanding distress warrants dating back to September 2007. The council said the businessman had ignored all correspondence and requests for payment.
