TfL trials in-car system that prevents speeding

New technology that stops a vehicle travelling above a road’s speed limit is being piloted by Transport for London (TfL). The six-month trial, which starts next month, will see the intelligent speed adaptation (ISA) technology fitted to 20 TfL vehicles driven by road engineers, traffic managers and highway inspectors. It will also be tested by a licensed taxi.
Drivers will be able to select an option that keeps a vehicle within the speed limit of any road in London within the M25 area....
