St Ives may get P&R to cope with tourist influx

Parking problems at the Cornish seaside resort of St Ives have led to Cornwall County Council investigating the business case for a park & ride service. The county’s Local Transport Plan programme features a scheme to provide a greatly expanded car park with a capacity for 600-700 cars at St Erth station, which is the junction on the Great Western main line for the St Ives branch.
