Tesco plans store with 564 spaces

Tesco plans to build a new town centre supermarket in the historic Hertfordshire city of St Albans. The store, parking for 564 cars and new homes would be built on the former Eversheds site near the city railway station.
However, a protest group called St Albans Stop Tesco (SAST) is objecting to the store’s potential impact on local traders, the loss of locally listed buildings and potential additional vehicle pollution and congestion.
