Town Centre Car Parks is using rooftop solar panels to help power a multi-storey in Leeds

What is claimed to be the UK’s largest solar panel system has been created on the roof deck of a car park in Leeds. The solar panel arrays on top of the Clarence Dock car park, adjacent to the Royal Armouries, provide power and generate an income via Feed-In Tariffs (FITs). The solar photovoltaic (PV) system supplies around 15% of the car park’s electricity and helps recoup investment costs via FITs for power supplied to the National Grid.
