Greater Manchester draws up smart ticketing plans
Transport for Greater Manchester has set out its plans to implement smart ticketing across public transport in the conurbation.
The plan will be implemented in three stages, starting with the Metrolink tram network in 2014, before moving on to bus and finally the suburban rail network.
TfGM has just signed a contract with Atos UK Ltd to implement and operate stage one of the programme, with options for stages two and three.
