NFC reading ‘too slow for London underground’
NFC technology does not yet have a fast enough read speed for use in ticketing on the London Underground, according to Transport for London (TfL) director of customer experience Shashi Verma. Speaking at the recent Open Mobile Summit in London he said TfL carried out tests in 2007 and 2008, using a Nokia phone.
