SWT and DfT agree deal to increase capacity by a further 48 carriages

South West Trains and the DfT have agreed a deal for SWT to receive an additional 48 rail carriages, providing 2,400 extra seats during the morning and evening peaks. The extra carriages are Class 456 vehicles which will be cascaded from Southern. They will be introduced into service between March and December 2014.
