Smart ticketing expands in West Yorkshire, and on Southern Railway
Metro, the West Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority, has agreed a £7 million plan to implement a smartcard ticketing system for bus users in Bradford and neighbouring districts. The green light follows a successful joint bid by Metro and bus operators to the Department for Transport (DfT) for almost £5 million of funding.
