Smart ticketing expands in West Yorkshire, and on Southern Railway
Services such as this Transdev route plying between Leeds and Keighley will benefit from the new systemMetro, the West Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority, has agreed a £7 million plan to implement a smartcard ticketing system for bus users in Bradford and neighbouring districts. The green light follows a successful joint bid by Metro and bus operators to the Department for Transport (DfT) for almost £5 million of funding.
