Don’t listen to stylists on HS2, listen to customers

In ‘the Future’ page last edition (August), I see that the interior designers Priestman Goode envisage a High Speed Train that will emulate the ‘iconic’ status of Concorde.

As far as I recall, Concorde was an immense self-indulgence by an industry that thought it knew what its customers wanted, and didn't bother to ask them.
