Transdev Yellow Buses launches Oyster-style smartcard system

New smartcards designed to make bus travel easier and quicker have gone live on Transdev Yellow Buses.

The Glo card was successfully trialled on the bus company’s route 3 but has now been extended across the entire network.

It replaces the phased out Yellow Cards and is similar in concept to the popular Oyster card in London. Once received passengers need to add a seven, 30 or 90 day value to the card. They can ‘top up’ the value at one of over 80 Paypoint outlets across...
