NGT business case due to be submitted to DfT

Metro, the West Yorkshire PTE, and Leed City Council last month approved plans for the New Generation Transport scheme for the city. The milestone meant that plans for the trolleybus network were due to be submitted to the Department for Transport as a Major Scheme Business Case as New Transit went to press. A decision on the scheme by ministers is due before the end of the year. It is expected the NGT would start in 2015 if approved.
