Metro operations contract race now down to two bidders
The contract to operate the Tyne & Wear Metro under a new operating concession is down to two bidders after PTE Nexus rejected a bid by NedRailways, the overseas arm of the Dutch state railway, in favour of submissions from Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Regio and Nexus’s in-house bid team.
