Work to start on New Street Station revamp
Work is to start on the revamp of Birmingham’s New?Street Station this month in a move that will transform the station that is used by over 40 million passengers each year.
The work is the first phase of the ‘Gateway’ project will see Network Rail build a brand new concourse next to the station in what is currently a car park. Funding for the scheme is coming from a consortium of partners that include Birmingham City Council, Advantage West Midlands and local PTE, Centro.
