Railwayman Haines takes on new aviation role
Andrew Haines has been appointed as the new chief executive of the Civil Aviation Authority. Haines joins the CAA after a wide-ranging career in the rail industry. After four years in charge of South West Trains. He then took charge at FirstGroup’s rail division but left last year due to ill health.
