Bristol’s bus projects don’t give buses enough priority

Peter Mann very reasonably defends bus rapid transit (BRT) for Bristol (ibid). As Bristol City Council’s relevant officer in charge he may feel he has no choice, given the earlier context of the DfT’s failure to support sensible rail-based metropolitan schemes. But as recent gains for Nottingham and Sheffield (let alone Manchester and London’s Dockland) show, we have moved on.
