Leeds promotes £100m+ orbital road


Councillors in Leeds have ordered a feasibility study of an  East Leeds Orbital Road (ELOR), saying it is vital to supporting the construction of 5,000-7,000 homes on the eastern edge of the city.

The £150,000 study will examine potential alignments for the orbital road, indicative costs and a programme for the road’s delivery. The council’s current estimated cost for the 4.3-mile road is more than £100m.
