Tyneside picks up £5m to improve sustainable transport options
A project to improve sustainable travel options across Tyne and Wear will go ahead after the Department for Transport (DfT) today approved a revised bid from the region’s integrated transport authority.
An initial bid to the Local Sustainable Transport Fund was not supported by the DfT earlier this year when it announced the final projects to receive money from the £560m pot.
