West Coast franchise delayed after legal challenge from Virgin
The DfT has been forced to delay awarding the West Coast main line franchise to FirstGroup after Virgin Trains launched legal action over the decision.
The move came after the DfT rejected requests from two House of Commons committees, Labour and over 160,000 people who signed a Downing Street e-petition to review its decision.
