Green light for council road plans
The DfT this week authorised the construction of two local authority road schemes.
Transport secretary Justine Greening granted final approval to Devon and Torbay councils’ Kingskerswell bypass and Northamptonshire’s A43 Corby link road.
The £109.2m Kingskerswell bypass will provide a three-mile dual carriageway between Newton Abbott and Torbay. The DfT is contributing £76m to the scheme.
